My name is Mark R. Stoneman. I set up this site with the stoneman.blog domain to help me post from my primary website at markstoneman.com. I use this new site to create hand-crafted short links that redirect to the original blog posts.
Why? Following a posting practice known as POSSE, I originate posts on my blog at markstoneman.com and then crosspost elsewhere. Given the duplicate content this approach creates, I want humans and search engines to know how to reach the original pages on which these posts first appeared. I also want these links to be easy to read, type, write down.
